Why Osinbajo Sacked DG DSS, Lawal Daura by sunky97: 4:47pm On Aug 07, 2018
Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo sacked the DG of DSS, Lawal Daura over the invasion of the National Assembly by the DSS operatives, Daily Trust reports.

Masked and unmasked DSS operatives laid siege to the National Assembly this morning, halting lawmakers and staff from gaining entry into the complex.

Osinbajo announced the sack of Daura via a statement by his media aide, Laolu Akande without stating the reason. The sack was announce while he (Daura) was meeting with the acting President.

About 10 minutes later, Acting President described as unauthorized takeover of the National Assembly complex earlier today as a gross violation of constitutional order, rule of law and all acceptable notions of law and order.

The acting president in statement by Akande said “the unlawful act which was done without the knowledge of the Presidency is condemnable and completely unacceptable.

” By this statement, Professor Osinbajo is consequently assuring Nigerians that all persons within the law enforcement apparatus who participated in this travesty will be identified and subjected to appropriate disciplinary action.”
