I am bewildered to observe that some section of people are beginning to believe and assert the conspiracy theory that the sacked DSS Director, Daura betrayed Buhari in favour of Saraki as though it has even a 80-20 chance of occurring. It must be noted that such an occurrence can only have a 99-1 chance of occurring atmost and with the following reasons. So when people talk about this conspiracy theory that has close to Zero chances of occurring with certainty, it beats me...

REASON ONE: HE WAS AN APPOINTMENT OF BUHARI AGAINST GENERAL EXPECTATION AND OPPOSITION FROM THE MASSES: Daura was an old man pulled out of retirement to head the Secret Service. The usual practice is that the head of such an organisation is conferred on the most Senior officer. There was a general outcry to his appointment, but Buhari appointed him anyway. How do you betray a man who appointed you against public outcry?

REASON TWO: HE WAS PULLED OUT OF RETIREMENT TO HEAD THE SECRET SERVICE: Daura was already resting when he was called upon to head a service that had a lot of qualified individuals in queue and capable of leading the service. How can you betray someone that pulled you out of retirement to lead?

REASON THREE: HE IS FROM BUHARI'S HOMESTEAD: Daura is from Buhari's community and it is unthinkable that he should betray someone who is from his community knowing that he is from that community and his children are from that community. Also knowing that the next time the presidency would get to his community again is probably in a thousand years time, he would not betray Buhari

REASON FOUR: HE IS THE OTHER PARTNER OF MAMMAN DAURA(BUHARI'S COUSIN) IN THE CABAL: If you would not expect Mamman Daura to betray Buhari, dont also expect Lawal Daura to same. Reason being that they are one and the same. They hold Buhari's kinship interest in the Presidency

REASON FIVE: MANY QUALIFIED PERSONS WERE RETIRED IN SECRET SERVICE IN OTHER TO ENTRHONE DAURA: How can you betray someone who sacked many career agents in other to position you in a place?

REASON SIX: THERE IS NO INTEREST THAT SARAKI CAN OFFER HIM WHICH BUHARI CANNOT AT THE MOMENT: Even if Saraki becomes President, he cannot become a vice president because a vice president to saraki must come from the south. Saraki does not have that pocket of Wealth to satisfy the top Secret service agent who has all the information available in Nigeria to make money. With the information available to the DSS boss, he can make 1billion naira daily if he so wish.

REASON SEVEN: SARAKI CANNOT BLACKMAIL THE TOP SECRET SERVICE MAN: Whatever blackmailing document that Saraki has on Daura, be rest assured that Daura has more on Saraki. The Top secret service position is no joke. They have any information you can imagine in Nigeria. Blackmail is off the table. Completely off

There are definitely more reasons, but this is enough to send to the trashbin those conspiracy theories. It does not add up.
