The men of the Department of State Security (DSS) that blocked the National Assembly gate on Tuesday to prevent lawmakers from entry had a list of APC senators that they planned to allow into the premises, Senate President Bukola Saraki has said. Saraki said in Abuja on Wednesday that the APC senators were not around during the siege because they were meeting somewhere on how to storm the National Assembly to effect illegal change of leadership. "The officers said they had a list of those to be allowed in. That was why when other members came they were not allowed to come in." "The reason why they (APC senators) didn't come was because they were meeting somewhere. The meeting they had at night wasn't conclusive, that's why they went to meet again." Saraki also said that it is not true that the sacked Director General of DSS, Lawal Daura, was working for him, saying it was the same DSS that withdrew his security some months ago. "How is that possible? It is an afterthought to say so. This is the same state security that withdrew our security, so how can they be answerable to us? We must protect this democracy and we must work with the constitution. Only a compound fool or a mischievous person will believe that Daura was working for Saraki! Who appointed Daura as the head of DSS? Why was Daura tolerated for three years despite his obvious excesses? The plot is very obvious even to a small child. Daura had been taking decisions in the name of protecting the president and no one has been challenging him because they were comfortable with his actions. Why is Adam Oshimole silence since yesterday? The turnout of yesterday was a vital blow to them. They never knew that the plot to impeach Saraki illegally will generate much outcry from the international community. Daura was very foolish. He probably thought he can pull yesterday stunt successfully without getting clear mandate from the president. Personally, I am not a fan of Saraki but I doff my cap for his dogedness and intelligence. History will be kind to him as a defender of our democracy. 2 Likes |

The truth of this siege on the NASS by the APC & the DSS will surely pans itself out or explode itself from them.I learnt Oshiomole was literally shouting & coercing the APC senators to sign the impeachment list against Saraki & DSP. |

Buhari, Osibanjo, Oshiomole, Daura, Ahmed Lawal & all the APC exco are the ones that plotted this coup. Lawal Daura was only made a sacrificial lamb just to save their face. Osibanjo can not say he is not aware of the plans by APC/DSS to impeached saraki when all the media houses are already aware. 1. Why did osibanjo have to wait till 12 noon before sacking daura, 2. why did Osibanjo did not order the DSS to leave the assembly immediatly as at 6.30 am when pictures where everywhere of how the DSS has blocked entrance to NASS. 3. It was only when the APC coup plotters could not come to NASS because of the tense situation having sense that the coup have failed, then Osibanjo quickly sack Daura just to save the face of the presidency. 4. Daura will surely be compensated later, forget about the fake sack people should stop absolving Osibanjo he knew about the coup to impeach saraki |
