The Management of the Abuja Centenary City Plc has said that the project when completed would save the country over $8billion in capital flight.


The Managing-Director of the Centenary Economic City Free Zone, Dr. Ikechukwu Odenigwu, at press conference in Abuja, said the project will accommodate most of the businesses Nigerians seek overseas.


Odenigwe said that the project will provide a 400-bed ultra-modern hospital with latest equipment adding that the design cater for tourist centres and ultra-modern sports facilities, specially meant to rake in foreign exchange from sports tourists all over the world.


The Foreign Investor and the Executive Director, Front Range, Jaimal Shergill noted that his group was replicating the infrastructural wonders they had achieved in Dubai in Nigeria.


Shergill explained that the project has 260 luxury villas, 139 office buildings, 313,697 spaces for hotel suites and service apartments and many others.


The value of the entire contract stood at $18.5 billion with N10 billion already gone in the project as part payment.


The Managing-Director, Nigeria Export Processing Authority, (NEPZA) Barrister Emmanuel Jime, said that the project came at a time the country is diversifying its economy, saying it is a sure berth for economic buoyancy.

I wanted to asked, where is the money and I later discovered that; the topic contradict the body.
