ADVERTISEMENT FOR TEACHING AND NON-TEACHING STAFF IN LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY STAFF SCHOOL [LASUSS]

PREAMBLE

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Candidates for the following vacant positions in Lagos State University Staff School, Ojo, Lagos.

MASTER GRADE II (TEACHERS) – GRADE LEVEL 8

SUBJECT AREA: Home Economics, Science, Mathematics, English/Phonetics, Yoruba, Hausa, Music, Physical/Health Education, French Language, Fine Arts and Computer.

Qualification:

A good honours degree in Education (in the subject applied for) with minimum of Second Class Lower Division and Three (3) years post qualification experience,

Additional qualification and Computer literacy will be an added advantage.



HEAD OF ADMINISTRATION – GRADE LEVEL 7

Qualification:

A good honours/degree in Business Education/Administration/Economics/Public Administration/Educational Management with one (1) year post qualification experience,

Additional qualification will be an added advantage.

SCHOOL ACCOUNTS OFFICER – GRADE LEVEL 7

Qualification:

University degree (honours) in Accounting Education with one (1) year post qualification experience OR HND (Credit with at least Lower Credit) in Accounting plus one (1) year post qualification experience. Additional qualification will be an added advantage.


SCHOOL SENIOR CLERICAL OFFICER – GRADE 4

Qualification:

WAEC/SSCE/GCE with Five (5) Credits Passes including English Language and Six (6) years work experience.

Additional qualification will be an added advantage.

COMPUTER OPERATOR/SECRETARY TO THE HEAD TEACHER – GRADE LEVEL 6

Qualification:

A good honours degree or HND/NCE in Secretariat Studies from a recognized Institution not below Credit Level with one (1) year experience. Additional qualification and Computer literacy will be an added advantage

Promote quality instructional methodologies, process and delivery.

[b]Administrative [/b]Roles

Assist school administrator in making academic decisions.

Record keeping of all statutory documents of pupils and staff.

Preparation of yearly school calendar, planning of school events, ensuring that the
school program is compatible with the legal and financial structure of the school system.

Actively promotes the school by following up on enquiries and complaints promptly

Ensuring the school complies with all government and accreditation body statutory requirements.

Send weekly reports of activities to the Director of studies.

Supervisory Roles

Provide supervisory and management support to all staff of the school.

Coordinate by conceptualizing the broad goals of the school and plan accordingly to ensure that procedures and schedules are implemented when carrying out school programmes by staff.

Responsible for monitoring performance management.

Provide professional development on a range of topics and issues, including, but not limited to:
