If Saraki Came In Through Illegal Means, So Why Bothered About Due In Removing H by Antoeni(m): 11:32am On Aug 13, 2018 |
IF SARAKI BECAME SENATE PRESIDENT THROUGH ILLEGAL MEANS, SO WHY BOTHERED ABOUT GOING THROUGH DUE PROCESS TO REMOVE HIM? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Is not about APC getting the required numbers. Bukola SaraKILL planted some loyalists in APC before he left. 12 of them are rumoured to have even swear an oath to pass through fire for him. If the Federal Government and the hierarchy of the APC are serious about getting this Thief removed through due process, That's a waste of time! Saraki came through illegal means and became the senate president so why bother about due process to remove him? We are Africans and a little touch of ruthlessness is a culture. Enough of the noise of impeachment. If they have no balls to temper with democracy and get this simple job done, they should move on with the reality that they have an evil withing their midst that they are willing to allow. Further attempt to scream "Saraki must be impeached" is giving undue attention to the thief and making him look like a smart politician in some quarters. Enough. This is a wailing to break protocol. 1 Like 1 Share

It has always been that, the hypocrites defending democracy are pained agents of criminality and errant dubiousness. They didn't know democracy was in danger when Saraki got elected without the full senate members on ground, they didn't know democracy was in danger when the senate refused to account for its funds, they did not know democracy was in danger when the senate went on recess despite have the budget of inec for the upcoming elections, they did not know democracy was in danger when Corrupt politicians refused confirming the EFCC chairman who is prosecuting a handful of them... The hypocrites are only interested in defending Corruption democracy where crumbs flow endlessly to their hands. 3 Likes |

vedaxcool: I don't think you are stupid but am baffled when intelligent dudes act really stupid because of peanuts. A date was set for election, the chief judge was present, all the judicial principals were present. Most senators were present, then some disgruntled elements decided to go for a party meeting instead of attending what was important. The chief judge of the federation was there voting took place, saraki won and he was sworn in. Where is the illegality here? 4 Likes |

Saraki's election as the SP was valid and legal, what happened was similar to the biblical story of Matthew 25, where 10 virgins came for a groom, 5 wise ones came prepared, 5 others left the chambers in search of fuel for their lamp. The day of NASS inauguration and in house election for principal officers, some lawmakers choose to head to musa yaradua center to shout their usual sai baba chants, and wait for a unity list, while the reasonable ones stayed back at NASS to engage in their constitutional duty. The senate requires the majority vote of its present inugural members for election of its principal. and for impeachment, they need an offense which must be investigated by priveledges and ethics comitee and the vote of 2/3 majority of the total house members 1 Like |

planetx13: 1. He became senate president with 57 out of 109 senators in attendance. 2. No voting actually took place, he was declared elected unopposed at the seating. 3. The "election" took place without the legal proclamation of the Senate by President Buhari. In fact the 8th national assembly of the federal Republic of Nigeria can be said to be an illegality as it was never proclaimed and inauguracted by the president. So if 57 senators can former a quorum to elect senate president, why can't 57 senators seat to impeach a senate president. ( remember 2/3 of 57 is 38). 2 Likes 1 Share |

wirinet:Hehehehe 55 is the number needed to be senate president and 181 for speaker. The APC knew left or right Saraki would have defeated Lawan and we're desperate to stop him from contesting to the point of missing in action. By the time they ran back, Gbajabiamila was defeated by Dogara 182 to 178 to become Speaker. APC is just a baby at the presidency! 1 Like |
