A couple were killed alongside others in a fatal accident which happened yesterday in Katsina state. The accident reportedly happened between two vehicles which collided with each other along the highway. The effect of the strong collision between the cars - saw unidentified number of occupants killed in the process. 

The accident is coming less than a week after more than seven people have lost their lives in a ghastly lone accident involving a Volkswagen Golf car along the Batsari/Katsina Road in Katsina State.

The car was conveying 12 passengers when the accident occurred.

It was learnt that the vehicle ran into a pool of water on the road when a passenger beside the driver suddenly grabbed the steering wheel in fear as the driver struggled to control the vehicle.

The car reportedly veered off the road and crashed into a tree, leading to the death of the victims.
