The internet is full of strange things, a US mum has written a Facebook post describing her shock at seeing her child’s avatar being “gang raped” by others in the online game Roblox, that is a case of cyber-rape.

The victim’s mother Amber Petersen said her seven-year-old was playing the game, which is marketed at children, when she showed her the screen and asked what was happening.

She also shared screenshots, which showed two male avatars attacking her daughter’s female character. Let us understand what Roblox is and why parents should be concern.
Roblox is a gaming platform where multiple players interact and play together online. The site has a collection of games aimed at 8-18 year olds, however players of all ages can use the site. Roblox is currently available on PC, phone, tablet and Xbox One.

Every game on Roblox is created by users, and there are a wide variety to choose from. These can vary from delivering pizzas, to roaming a kingdom as a medieval knight, to even starring in a fashion show. This variety is one of the reasons that Roblox is so popular with young people.

That is actually very true. These online games are getting very vicious and children are thinking these are some sort of "dank meme" which is obviously not. Now Roblox PS4 will soon be released onto their platform with apparently no child lock or any policies to prevent children from getting involved in such games. It is definitely worrisome.
