The Oyo State Government has marked part of the building housing Fresh FM Ibadan, a private radio station owned by popular Juju musician, Mr. Yinka Ayefele, for demolition, DAILY POST reports.

The building, christened “Music House”, was marked for demolition because some part of it were not approved.

The demolition notice, DAILY POST gathered on Wednesday, was pasted on the structure located along Ibadan-Lagos expressway on the order of the Oyo State Government.

The notice, according to David Ajiboye, its Director of Corporate Affairs and Promotions, gave the owner of the building three days to vacate the building and remove the structure or risk its removal by the government.

The deadline, it was learnt expires today, Wednesday, 15th August, 2018.

Ajiboye, who confirmed the development on his Facebook page on Tuesday, added that the demolition notice was issued because, “The staff canteen in the premises was not approved”.


The post read further, “The spiral staircase was not in the approved plan. The mast was not in the approved plan.

“The fence was not in the approved plan.

“And therefore the entire N800 million edifice where almost 150 people make their daily bread have to go down. You are all invited to the demolition show at the Music House tomorrow”.

If that building is, unfortunately, demolished nothing go happen! Na government. There are glaring reasons that you are wrong already so stop depending on "long legs". It does not work at times.

So according to your line of thought, since the canteen, spiral staircase and mast was not approved by government the entire building has to be pulled down

Why did they build against approved plans in the first place? Nigerians are too lawless. You built a structure against what was approved for you because you have money and because you feel people will pity your wheelchair. Now you're shouting.

All in the name that fresh fm is one of the best radio in oyo state and south west region. this same building as been in ring road for more than 5 years, now the state government want to demonish the place. on what bases. they just want ayefele to join Apc like kwam 1.

because he can go to court and channellege the authority of who ask them to demolish the place, because the logo is illegal.

A politician can not put its logo on government document or property. It is considered a crime for ajimobi to design a logo and put his own logo on government document or government property.

It is call arm robbing.. Tinubu was involve in arm robber, that does not make it correct for ajimobi to put its logo on government property or document.

That building has been long overdue for demolition because it is the only building that has its complete encroachment on the main express but before the demolition those officials in the lands and housing and those in the town planning division who allowed such big infrastructure to stand on the road without setback should be made to face the music. The governor responsible for the construction of the road could not deny of not being aware of the position of the building while the road was under construction as many other infrastructures were removed to allow for set backs while the construction was going on , but what went along at that time was exchange of hands but now political issue seems to be taking over.
