Overview of the upcoming Safe Motherhood Campaign:

— The essence is to reduce maternal mortality and infant morbidity rate to the barest minimum.

— All Bayelsans should take it as a point of responsibility to inform pregnant women to get registered at health facilities.

— Traditional Birth Attendants to help drive the information to the people at the grassroots, by encouraging pregnant women to get registered in health facility.

— Husband's Name
— Address
— Ward and Settlement
— State of Origin

Registration is open to both Indigenes and non indigenes.

Safe motherhood package will be given to pregnant mothers after delivery.

N2,000 — Registration(when pregnant women comes for registration, HIV test will be conducted first, mosquito net will be provided,

N2,000 — For frequent and consistent antenatal visits/check-up.

N3,000 — Monthly stipend for 12 months (i.e. 9months and additional three months after delivery).

— Government and Safe Motherhood Initiative will care for the child.

— Government is interested in our children especially their health status.
