Manchester united went on to win the fixture 2-1 with the midfielder earning himself a man of the match performance and a rare praise from the manager Jose Mourinho.

What followed after that was however a disappointment as the midfielder sent the media ablaze with rather disrespectful comments to the both manager and club according to Pundits and analysts over the course of the week.

These comments have left the football world buzzing with speculations over the week with one of the prominent one by Paul Ince reported at Metro.

“He captained United in their opening game of the season against Leicester, played brilliantly, and then came out with those quotes afterwards. I really can’t understand why he’d do that other than to get attention and set tongues wagging.” Paul Ince said in one of his comments.
