Geologically speaking in the next 60yrs. but not to worry we have proven abundant gas reserve that will span way beyond that time frame. with advancement in technology we can still be able to discover new oil wells and even redevelop old and dry well. my opinion though senior geologist should shed more Light.

[b]The problem here is not oil, the problem is we nigerians are lazy and stupid. Look at abroad look how we nigerians behave, we behave terrible and where is no oil abroad. The truth of the matter is we nigerians cannot develop a country we prefer to fool ourselves to eternity. Nigeria's problem was never and will never be oil the problem started when we got independence we knew nothing about building a country but we wanted independence because we were lazy and stupid we only thought about stealing not building the country.oil cannot run out in the next 200 years but new technology will replace oil it is already happening even in countries like saudi arabia. In saudi arabia it is cheaper to build a solar power plant dan a oil or gas plant. In kenya it is cheaper to build a geothermal power plant them to build a oil or gas power plant. Iceland now generate 100% of their electrical needs from geothermal, wind and solar. Oil is dying out new technology last longer andy after evestment is free not like oil and gas ,a good example is wind turbine, the wind turbines lasts for 20 to 30 years before they need maintenance also solar panels so once you invest you will have free energy for 20 years. Now with oil and gas everyday you need to buy the oil and gas every four years you need to start maintaining the generators or the power plant. Look at countries like iran, turkey and pakistan they all have oil but moving into nuclear because it is cheaper and more reliable.[/b]
