Son of the late governor of Kwara state, Alhaji Akeem Lawal, has declared his intention to contest in 2019 governorship race under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Speaking when he was received by his supporters and admirers on arrival at the Ilorin International airport on Saturday, Alhaji Lawal, son of the late governor, Alhaji Mohammed Lawal, said that his intention to run was a call to service. The governorship aspirant, who said that Kwara state could only be taken to a greater level of development with the contribution of ideas from youth population, added that he is prepared to inject youthful energy and ideas that would make change the fortune of the state.
