President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday departed the nation’s seat of power, Abuja for his hometown, Daura in Katsina State.



The President who only returned back to the country over the weekend after a 10-day vacation in London, will as a matter of tradition, observe the Eid-el-Kabir sallah in his hometown of Daura.

The presidential motorcade left the forecourt of the State House, Abuja at 3:06pm enroute Daura and was seen off by the National Security Adviser, NSA, Babagana Monguno, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Boss Mustapha, the Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari among others.

Buhari has earlier on Presided over the Security Council meeting at the Presidential villa, Abuja before departing for his hometown.
