Fresh facts has begun to surface regarding the demolition that took place few months ago at Glorious Villa Community, Abule Parapo Phase 2, Awoyaya area of Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State. It was said that over 200 homes with more than 3000 people rendered homeless. The incident was reported by THE WITNESS. The news portal alleged that Skye Bank Plc and its subsidiary, Skye Trustees Limited are involved in the acquisition of the land and later demolished houses on the land without proper notice given to the occupants on the land The Tokunbo Abiru-led financial institution and its subsidiary on Thursday, July 26th 2018 allegedly demolished over 200 houses and rendered over 3000 homeless. THE WITNESS reliably learnt that trouble started when Skye Bank secretly bought expanse of land allegedly belonging to several families but represented by few when sealing the deal.
