Conceptual Framework
A good conceptual framework will cover all the research objectives so as to help solve the problem of the research work. This section involves the use of diagrams to explain certain key variables in the research work.

Theoretical Framework
This section is very important in research work. Researchers and Students are expected to search for theories that are related to their research work (project topic).
For instance, consider the project topic on human resources management: work life balancing and its effects on employee productivity; the theories suits for the above research topic are: (a) Spill-over Theory (b) Segmentation theory (c) Border Theory (d) Compensation Theory (e) Resource Drain Theory. A research student must provide theories that relate to his or her research work/topic.

Empirical Framework
The empirical framework is talking about various researches done by other researchers concerning your research topic. It is also known as peoples research work that are similar to you own research topic. The names of the various researches must be attached to their findings or statement. For example, according to Androameda (2007), the use of instructional materials in teaching and learning geography in senior secondary schools has significant impact on the level of academic performance of students.

Summary
The research student is expected to point out or summarize his or her view concerning what was discussed on each section of the literature review. i.e from introduction to empirical framework.

The purpose of a literature review is:

• To survey the current state of knowledge or evidence in the area of inquiry,
• To identify key authors, articles, theories, and findings in that area, and
• To identify gaps in knowledge in that research area.
