Shell Petroleum and Development Company (SPDC) has been accused of acts of intimidation by using the Joint Task Force (JTF) to make the people of Aghoro 1 community in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State to succumb to their bidding in the remediation process between them and the community. The community and Shell had been in talk on ways to compensates the community in the oil spill caused by Shell in May, 2018 which has devastated the land and aquatic lives of the community.
