Corp members serving in Daura, President Buhari home town paid a Sallah visit to his residence.
The corp members whose PPA is the President home town speak through their liaison officer Mr Ishaq ., "says they are here to applaud his good deed so far " . the Corp members promise to stand by the President in the forth coming general election. why ?
The President who feels happy says he personally called Gen. Gowon to thank him for the initiative of creating NYSC to promote unity .
He further directed that half a million should be giving to the corp members which spark out joy among them (corp members) . they kept shouting sai Baba 2019.
The question is how much will each of them get out of the 500,000 ?
Do any body mobilized them purposely for this ? or do the really meant it?
Out of the half million given to them, if they are to share among about 30 of them. Each person will get #16,666 .
Is the amount really worth celebrating as a graduate ? if yes ! then there's lack and insufficiency in the country bless with so many natural resources.
if the amount is not worth celebrating, why assuring Baba 2019 after money was mentioned. probably celebrating been short Change ?.
what I expect from the Corp members as an average Nigerian, is the joy talking one on one with the President not because money is involved.
This stands as an indicative major to authorities concern that corp members welfare (19,800) is not enough in these harsh Economy where price of commodities are high for an average family talk less of a corp member who leave his family afar probably having no body to run to in time of need.
my prayer is the swift implementation of the proposed 50,000 monthly stipend to ease the suffering of serving Corp members .
As a concern youth and advocate of good governance I expect nothing less.
