Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, yesterday pegged the total earning which accrued to the Nigerian government from oil sales in the past three years at $94 billion. He, however, stated that in the four years preceding the All Progressive Congress, APC, administration, the government – then led by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) – earned about $393 billion in oil sales but made less impact on the livelihood of ordinary Nigerians. Prof. Osinbajo made this revelation during a town hall meeting in Bariga/Somolu LCDA in Lagos State, on Tuesday, as part of festivities marking the Eid-el-Kabir with Lagosians. These people think we're all fools. When they came in 2015 they said they're not going to depend on oil, in fact, there was a time they told us Nigeria budget is no longer funded from Oil revenue. Now, it is only about Oil they are taking about. So what suddenly happened? |

you earned less, yet your full yearly budgets are higher. if an average estimate of full budget performance is taken, APC has actually spent more than pdp with less to show. pdp's average full budget for years 2011-2014 was est. N4.5trn. a 40% implementation will give us about N1.8trn-N2trn yearly... apc's av. full budget for 2016-2018 (atbe) is N7trn. so 40% implementation is N2.8trn... so in reality, APC has spent more than PDP with less results. & that is a fact... 1 Like |
