Jerry John Rawlings, former Head of State and President of Ghana, has observed that Nigerians are still in love with their oppressors.

According to the TakeItBack movement, Rawlings said this on Monday when he met with Nigerian presidential aspirant Omoyele Sowore in Accra, Ghana.

Both men spoke on a wide range of issues that touched on youth and leadership in Africa, and about corruption and effective solutions to the menace.

A statement by Rachel Onamusi-Kpiaisi, Director, PR, Media and Communications of the TakeItBack Movement/Sowore2019, said: “It was a closed-door meeting, but one of the things that came out of it was that Rawlings said, ‘Chief, you know your generation should be the ones in power but there is huge problem, things are gonna be tight!’

“Sowore quickly interrupted, asking if it was about ‘money politics’, after which Rawlings took a deep breath and after a long drawn silence, stated: ‘You know, Nigerians are still in love with their oppressors.’”

Onamusi-Kpiaisi further said: “If there is a reason that our leaders buy up luxurious apartments and send their children to school in Ghana, it is thanks in no small part to the tireless, uncompromising work of JJ Rawlings.”

Before leaving Accra, Sowore also held a town hall session with Ghana-based Nigerians.

Sure, that's why some people are wailing upandan that we return to Egypt(PDP era). That they prefer the garlic and cucumber offer by their taskmasters to the detriment of their socio-economic freedom.

No doubt we are passing through tough times in this wilderness after the 16 messy years in Egypt (The buffet regime of PDP), but surely we will get to the promise land through the stringent hands of President Muhammadu Buhari (Peace Be Upon the Lord's servant)

That is gospel truth cos how do explain that buhari despite his failure as a head of state was still voted into office of presidency as a civilian. Were Nigerians thinking being in a democratic setting will checkmate his dictatorial tendencies or he had something different to offer them this time around because he is now a civilian?
I don't know when we Nigerians will learn that "A leopard will never change its skin"

PDP and APC are birds of a feather, 'A o se mo o, lorin to nlo'

Nigeria is not in Buhari's stringent hand, it is being controlled by the Cabal (Mamman Daura, Abba Kyari Babachir David), if I lied as Aisha Buhari

Jerry Rawlings said the truth without mincing words. Let me spice it up a bit.

Mental Slavery Is The Worst Form Of Slavery. It Gives You Illusion Of Freedom, Makes You Trust, Love And Defend Your Oppressor..

Nigeria is really doomed if those people mentioned above still live and move about in Nigeria.

Of course, you are among those who love their oppressors. The way you comment on APC issues here show who you really are.
