most Nigerians think this whole political hullabaloo happening in our country is peculiar to us and us alone. Unfortunately, even some foreign powers share this view also. Trump and Cameron for instance. Now let me try to break it down to you in the simplest of terms, the conclusion is yours anyway. Now, let's assume Nigeria runs a parliamentary system of government where the highest office is the Prime Minister. This would mean Saraki is our PM, right? Now, since there's no way we can squeeze PMB in other than saying he is the ASSUMED Prime Minister, let's shut him out of this analysis. Then, now we can view this further. The problem Australia had is very very similar to Nigeria's politics. They have two major parties. The Liberal and the Labor Parties. In our case, APC and PDP. The Liberals are the ruling party. But there's a problem. Internal crisis. It split up in two over ideologies ranging from climate change to abortion and economic laws and immigration. The Moderates and the Conservatives are the sub-groups. 'fraction' we would say. In our case, these are the APC and the R-APC. And one thing to note is that these two wings formed a coalition that constitutes the Liberal Party; again, just like APC was formed by a coalition. There have been ousting of 3 PMs in less than a decade and they have had 6 PMs since 2007, with none ever completing full term in office before they resign or get ousted. Earlier this week, the erstwhile PM survived an ouster by the opposition. They just struck again today with success this time. It's just like the R-APC slowly decamping to PDP and then called for the impeachment/ouster of the president of the Senate when they had the numbers in their favour. But this is the catch in their politics, instead of the opposition taking over power, the ruling party still fiercely retains the highest office. In a slight attempt of analogy, it's like impeaching the president of the senate but instead of Ekweremadu or Kwankwaso taking over the senate presidency, it was somebody from the APC e.g Ahmed Lawan that took over. I hope this clears the air to your question sir.
