This information is relevant to Business owners, Accountants, Finance Staff, Corporate Entrepreneur, students and more.
My pet project in Analytics is still in Beta and one out of many tools to be expected is available for test. I felt user feedback will be necessary before proceeding to the advanced stages.

Description: If you are familiar with Accounting Ratios, then this wont be new.

This particular tool access and calculates an entity's financial performance and stability based on its report.
A template is provided on the page - All you need do is download it, input your own figures and analyse. The page will read your data and present the calculations to you + definitions of each term.

If you dont have your figures, there are values already populated in the template for you to play with.
Anyone is free to try, and do share with interested participants. Once again the page is available via http://analytics.bilsmore.com/coy_analysis

Here is a quick definition about Financial Ratios: A ratio analysis is a quantitative analysis of information contained in a company's financial statements. Good job, but it would have been better if the reports gives an idea of how well or poorly the company is doing. Telling me that current ratio is 0.7 is not very helpful.

This will be better:

The current ratio of Buhari Ventures is 0.7, meaning that Buhari Ventures is not capable of paying its short-term obligations.

You can go further by stating that the ideal current ratio for a business should be between 1.2 to 2.0.

BTW, are you an accountant?
