Why I Voted For Buhari And The Purpose Defeated by villagereporter(m): 1:17pm On Aug 27, 2018
Prior to 2015 general elections, the Nigeria state was relatively in shambolic peace vis-a-vis  politically motivated killings by boko haram in north eastern part of Nigeria and kidnapping due to "quick money syndrome" bedevilling the south. Economic wise, Nigerians were at el-dorado of utopia upliftment for  many waited senilely for crumbs that fell from the government table. The then government led by Ebele Goodluck Jonathan had a strong economic team chair by a wussy world bank specialist, Dr Okonjo Iweala, a more-or-less soluble substance in the midst of solvent. In that government there are technocrats who work insidously morning and night to make Nigeria a living hell.

However, the caveat in that government was too strong to be ignored because it was instantly "instagrammed, facebooked and twertilize" in our heart-the sleazy adventure of some opprobrium elements in that government. Those sleazy adventure were stench of fart oozing out from the anus of powerful ministers and they were too strong to be cleanse either by prayer or air. Perhaps the pains of having earned so much from oil but living in penury provoked the electorates to vote en-mass against our oppressor-the government.

PMB was a man well respected and loved by all and sundry before the general election of 2015. With the way his media aide publicise and advertised him to the electorates it was glaring he was contesting with all but himself. We were told so many "truth" which we did not know as lies back in 2015, so I "bought" into the lies of the great rabble-rouser who suffers from verbal diarrhea as a kid-Liar Mohammed - that Nigerians need any candidates but GEJ was blazingly glaring even to the blind.

On the day of presidential election the day broke bright and clear and we the electorates defiled so many odds to make sure that our vote count. At the end of the exercise, our prefer and idolised candidate was announced as winner of the election hence we all celebrated, wined and dined to the end of corruption, favouritism in government and "paddy-paddy abracadabra".

Alas, how wrong we were! We the electorates voted out GEJ based on corruption because we believed our roads should have been tiled, our hospital upgraded to world class, our schools should have become Mecca of sort to all students all over the world and we Nigerians should have been living in abundance having earned so much from crude sales.

But the politician in PMB reared it ugly heads when he made a three hundred and sixty degree turn and a bold volte-face from his election promises. I was horn-mad that I have entered "one chance" with a common SSCE "certificateless" (if it is true) individual as the purpose of voting out a corruption-fill government to replace it with "Mr integrity" was dead on arrival, a charade and an exercise in futility

Takeaway
> the purpose of voting for Buhari was defeated when he bought a tucano fighter jet which Afghanistan govt bought for twenty nine million dollar for forty one million dollar.(read this article "the tucano jets as US Greek gift").

> the purpose of voting for Buhari was defeated  when he became a medical tourist for more than 100days having promised to fix Nigeria's hospital, making his wife to criticise the bad state of things at the state hospital in state house despite humongous budgetary allocation

> the purpose of voting for Buhari was defeated when he proscribed IPOB, a non-violent protesting group for self-rule though against constitution but refused to do the same to his Fulani herdsmen a macabre blood sucking group.

> the purpose of voting for Buhari was defeated when he wont touch his corrupt party members but hound down opposition and perceived enemies.

> the purpose of voting for Buhari was defeated when he slashed his salary on pages of print and social media.......TBC

Nigerians should beg Buhari to take another six months leave with full benefits to allow Osinbajo to reorganize and restore the damaged credibility of Federal institutions Buhari's kinsmen destroyed.

Foreign investment is antithetical to uncertainty. The VP will restore the confidence needed to bring back the economy and I believe the ministers and agency directors will sit-up. Osinbajo is the only hope to stop Buhari from finishing off Nigeria in the remaining days of this regime

Please Nigerians, let's tell Buhari to go back to London, Nigerians need it more than him

Sir, I am not. I was only looking for the best candidate to lead my country out of the woods but I never knew Buhari was not the messiah I was waiting for. Indeed I entered one chance.
