Generally speaking, tuition fee in most Canadian universities are expensive with some of them, relatively affordable. The Ryerson university tuition fee varies depending on the course and program applied for, whether you are a local or international student.

You may need to visit the school website to get more detailed information on the fees and its breakdown. However, Canadian citizens and permanent residents can expect fees;

For full-time undergraduate programs for the 2018/19 academic year to range from $7,639 to $12,241 and for international undergraduate students range from $25,926 to $32,000.

For graduate programs for the 2018/19 academic year ranges from $4,785 – $17,732 for local students and $19,453 – $26,405 for international students.

Other annual expenses are

Accommodation
On campus: $8,500 – $17,000 (plus meal plan)

Off campus: $11,400 – $19,200 (or $950 to $1,600 per month) depending on shared or single accommodations

Transportation Metropass/public transit pass within the GTA: $117
Additional costs include GO pass – prices vary

Books and Supplies: $1,100 – $9,900 depending on program of study
Food: $3,900 – $5,300 (flex to large meal plan) depending on dietary requirements and living arrangements
Personal Expenses: $3,200 – $5,000 (approximately $400 to $625 per month)

Ryerson University Admission procedures


Just like any other higher institution, admission requires certain criteria and procedures and when they are not rightly done, can lead to disqualification of the applicants. Hence, once you’ve chosen your desired program(s), preparing your application requires careful research and planning.

Before you apply: You must take into account the following procedures;

Check the admission requirements
Make sure the program is still accepting applications
View the information regarding the guaranteed consideration dates
When the application is completed, you have to;

Step 1: Submit Your Application

Online Application Form: Visit Applications and Related Forms for details on which form to use.

Supplementary Form: All applicants who are not currently attending an Ontario secondary school in a daytime program of study are required to submit a Supplementary Form via the Choose>Ryerson Applicant Portal for each program applied – visit Applications and Related Forms for details.

An application for admission will not be reviewed until the completed Supplementary Form is received by Undergraduate Admissions. Applicants must wait for an email acknowledgment of their application and have set up their Ryerson Online Identity to submit a Supplementary Form.

Alternate Program Choices: Applicants wishing to be considered for more than one program at Ryerson must include all program choices on the applicable application form. By doing this, students are automatically considered equally for each individual program

Note for applicants who have applied to Ryerson in a previous academic year: If the name on the application has changed in any way, proof of this name change (i.e. marriage certificate, notarized statement or other legal document) must be provided.

English Language Requirements

Applicants from a country where English is not the first language, or where English is an official language but not the first language are required to present proof of English Language Proficiency at a satisfactory level.

Step 2: Submit/Upload Required Documents

Once you have received an email acknowledgement of your application from Ryerson, and you have successfully activated your Ryerson Online Identity, you should begin the process of submitting your transcripts and supporting documents through your Choose>Ryerson Applicant Portal, as applicable.

Please be sure to add noreply@ryerson.ca to your email contact list and check your spam folder to ensure you do not miss critical communications from us.

Log in to your Choose Ryerson Applicant Portal to view letters/documents issued to you by Undergraduate Admissions and to track your application.

As an applicant, you have access to your Choose>Ryerson Applicant Portal until late September, after which time your Choose>Ryerson Applicant Portal account will be deactivated. After this closure, your communications will remain available through RAMSS.

Tips for completing your application:
Be prepared: Be sure that you have read through the requirements and deadlines to determine whether you fulfilled the entrance requirements.
Keep track of your Login ID and PIN: At the beginning of the application, you will be required to select a Login ID and PIN. By keeping a record of your ID and PIN as you can log in and out of your application as many times as you need to before you submit it.
Provide a valid and reliable email address: After you submit your application, you will receive a confirmation email with important information on your Minerva account and how to complete your file. As such, it is very important that you provide a reliable email address.
Tell us who can obtain application information on your behalf: If you would like a parent, guardian, family member or friend to be able to contact Ryerson University on your behalf and obtain information about your application, you must include their name in the “Disclosure information” section of the application.
Have a credit card to pay the application fee: At the undergraduate level, a non-refundable application fee is required for up to two program choices. You will be able to preview your application and print a copy before you pay the application fee. You may also print a confirmation of your credit card payment for your records.
Review your Minerva confirmation: You will receive an email acknowledgment within 48 hours after submitting your application for admission. The login information provided in the email will allow you to access your Minerva account to view your application status and upload supporting documents. It is your responsibility to verify your status and ensure the completion of your application.

Track your application status on Minerva: Throughout the application process, McGill will communicate with you through Minerva. We do not send paper or email reminders about outstanding items to complete your file. Therefore, checking your Minerva account regularly is important. It is your responsibility to verify your status on Minerva and ensure the completion of your application. Consult this section for information on how to login and navigate the Applicant Menu in Minerva.
Submit your supporting documents: It is in the interest of all applicants to complete their files as quickly as possible. When program space is limited, preference may be given to applicants who have provided all required supporting documents earlier on. Should a program reach its capacity prior to the deadline for submission of documents, incomplete applications may be cancelled.
