Nana Akufo-Ado, the president of Ghana has declared that churches that amass wealth through prosperity preaching will be made to pay tax.

Punch reports that the president of Ghana was seen making the harsh declaration during a synod of the Global Evangelical Church at the University of Ghana.

Mcebisco.Com.Ng notes that recently, a number of churches in Ghana have found a way of making wealth out of conventional church practice like preaching. According to Akufo-Addo, churches are becoming “ pale shadow of what they used to be generations ago.”

Meanwhile, Mcebisco.Com.Ng early reported that a video concerning the activities of a Christian prophet who calls himself 'angel' is going viral on the Ghanaian social media space.

But this time, it has nothing to do with the controversial Bishop Daniel Obinim but one pastor, Bishop Richard Owusu 'Bohyeba' who also describes himself as 'sika bɔfoɔ' which literally translates as 'money angel.'
