secondary school teacher was brutally murdered in Upper Nyakach, Kisumu county on the night of Wednesday, August 29.

Police have since arrested Fidel Castro Odero, an 18-year old Form Four student at Wang’apala Secondary School, Patrick Omondi, 18, from Ramba Boys Highs School and 21-year-old Moi University student Ian Agure in connection with the murder.

The teacher is reported to have been in the company of the suspects at a restaurant.

The suspects who were drunk demanded that he buys them more alcohol which he declined - That prompted an argument which later saw the teacher murdered brutally

A secondary school teacher was brutally murdered in Upper Nyakach, Kisumu county on the night of Wednesday, August 29.

Reports indicated, Manases Ongole from Teso, was a Kiswahili teacher at Guu Secondary school where he had taught for the last 10 years ,

The deceased is reported to have been in the company of the three suspects and another friend in a restaurant at Nyamaroka shopping centre on the fateful evening.

According to a witnesses account, Ongole and the suspects differed before they left the restaurant.

The suspects were drunk and demanded the teacher buys them more alcohol. Ongole refused, prompting the disagreement and subsequent attack.

Two others attacked by the suspects are in critical condition, the two, Jared Ajowi and Steven Ongondo, are admitted at the Nyabondo Hospital and Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital respectively.

The students are alleged to have armed themselves with pangas and other crude weapons and later returned to wait for the teacher and his friend outside.

As Ongole and his friend left the restaurant to where they had parked their motorcycle, the three attacked them.

After leaving them for dead, they went to sleep in the same house about a kilometre from the scene.

The weapons were recovered by police together with their blood stained clothes which have been kept as exhibits.

It's an embarrassment for a teacher to see his students drinking let alone mingling with your students while they drinks
