Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel has congratulated the newly elected President of Akwa Ibom State Association, USA, Incorporated (AKISAN), Ms. Margaret Itauma. In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, Governor Emmanuel saluted the newly elected President and lauded the Association for being gender-friendly. “It is heart-warming to note that your election comes almost twenty years after the Association had elected the first female President, Ms. Obot Okoko. I am sure with your experience, pedigree and capacity to unite people across different values and beliefs, AKISAN will continue to grow and fulfil the promise of its Founding Fathers.
