A petrol tanker caused grief among some residents in Rivers State after it overturned and exploded yesterday around Eliozu Bridge on G. U. Ake road, Obio-Akpor Local Government area of Port Harcourt.

Properties worth millions of Naira were destroyed by the inferno. which spread after the transformer close by caught fire.

Among the affected buildings were a church, Christ Living Miracle Church, a hotel, four shops, an event and catering centre worth over N500 million.
