THE SAVIOUR OWAN FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY NEEDS [ PRINCE HARRISON EHIMIYEN]

The direction is clear, the view is straight and the ovation is loudest. What began as a slogan has become a roadmap to opportunities, advancement and prosperity. We have seen and still seeing a myriad of people who believe they possess the much needed mental and psychological ability to stare Owan people from the realms of despair it presently finds itself, and among the lot we finally have “THE ONE”. We finally have the one who consistently and progressively shows the cutting edge readiness that befits a representative contest. His name is PRINCE HARRISON EHIMIYEN.

We can be convinced that the aspiration of this refined personality, who needs no introduction, is not to add more content to his CV or to increase the achievements of his person but ultimately to launch Owan Federal Constituency to the rest of the world, placing her at her rightful place at the summit of the chart of Federal constituency in Nigeria.
From the get go, the aspiration of Prince Harrison as he is fondly called by his supporters and close associates has always been rooted in honesty, service, confidence and the Fear of God as portrayed in his lifestyle and antecedents.

The Holy Bible says “…………..by their fruits we shall know them” and Prince Harrison Ehimiyen has positively displayed this positives in his disposition to issues on Owan polity especially to those affecting the welfare of youths and students. Testimonies abound of his youth oriented mindset and his campaign slogan “TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER” supports this assertion. Prince Harrison seems to be only one that is ready to empower the youths of Owan Federal Constituency for greater impacts, having himself begun politics and public service from the university as the SUG President.

His agenda for the younger generation in Owan Federal Constituency is one that seeks to mightily empower them right from a very tender age. In his simple agenda, secondary school students will be equipped with the necessary skill to ensure that they are self-sufficient enough for themselves and to the Owan people. From JSS1 students would be required to choose any four areas ranging from Arts, Skill Acquisition and talent honing from which they would specialize in one area upon advancement to SS1. This means that by the time they are graduating at the end of their secondary school they would alongside their regular SSCE certificate also possess a Diploma in the chosen specialty.

This means that School leavers would have more than one option either the University or pursue a career in the specialized area, for those who desire to be entrepreneurs early on with government’s full assistance and ensures that no one ends up being a waste with the excuse of not having the necessary ability. One might ask how sure we are of this is not being just campaign. Well, I remember my days as a student of the University of Benin; I was opportuned to serve as the Afemai National President, National Union of Afemai Students (National body). We were seeking to enhance the welfare of students on campus nation wide to pay school for some students and other things.

Our committee wrote to so many individuals for assistance with detailed costing and sincere project duration. Many got scared and complained about the cost of the project, others did not even respond to our request. Few individuals who gave us warm audience and subsequently responded positively and Prince Harrison was one of the few. The truth is, the only benefit he will derive from this will be goodwill. I am also aware of issues that were brought for his assistance for the Students’ Union Government of Auchi Polytechnic and other schools which he duly attended to. Also an issue of a little girl name Nelly Aghedo who has a multiple holes in her was brought before him which he assisted.

Now, if he could sacrifice over several Millions to ensure that Youth/Students have better welfare how much more would he do with the resources of the Constituency? Alas! I believe the redeemer has come, one that is no stranger to the workings of government. The one whose experience speaks volumes and confidence is intimidating. The man who has never been found wanting despite having been a major player in Owan polity for decades. Prince Harrison has come with to make Owan Federal Constituency better. HARRISON has finally come to be
