Direct primaries; every registered Party members elected or unelected, agbero or professor, rich or poor, votes for the party flag bearer for an election

Indirect Primaries; Only selected delegates( usually past and present serving appointees of the party) vote in the primary as accredited delegates.

problem with the indirect primaries is that a governor can influence the state party delegate list. some are bribed before primaries other a intimidated
