Having gone through the two threads on Shekarau proposed return to APC, I observed that one crucial point is missing.

When Kwankwaso decamped to PDP, on nairaland, I said it repeatedly that Shekarau would return back to APC as he cannot be in the same ship with Kwankwaso some people thought otherwise, now, it has happened.

Shekarau only reason for leaving APC in 2014 was because of Kwankwaso. He never moved to PDP because of conviction that PDP would win but because of political rivalry with Kwankwaso.

APC never vomited or rejected Shekarau. He left the party due to personal reasons and he's coming back due to personal reasons. Remember, interest is the only thing personal in politics.

Shekarau defeated him as an incumbent governor even though he had the backing of OBJ.
He has also abandoned his longtime ally, the present governor of kano a state Umar Ganduje.
Kwankwaso cannot contend with these guys.

No sir.most of you here do not understand electoral arithmetics or history or demography.kano has the same electoral demograo
phy with rivers and katsina.whether ganduje or shekarau defects or not cannot affect buhari's votes as far as hes in the ballot.right from 2003,buhari has had a steady 1.6 million in kano.highest pdp had was 500,000 in 2003 under obj.in 2007 and 2011 when every top politicians in kano were againstvhim,he still got 1.6 million.
In 2011 he still got 1.6 million under a new cpc,shekarau a sitting governor had 500,000 under an established anpp while gej got 400,000.kwankwaso managed to win the governodship by stylishly using buhari's name.therefore,the only way pdp can get up to 1 million is if both kwankwaso and shekarau contests but buhari will still get at least 1.6 million.
In 2015,buhari got 1.9 million thats an increase of 300k votes while that of pdp dropped to 200k meaning that kwankwaso converted 300k pdp votes to add to buhari's.
It therefore means kwankwaso has between 300k to 500k votes.that is what he will get in 2019.the only state in the north west were buhari votes can be reduced is sokoto because of wamakko. research shows that he has more supporters there than buhari.

We all know how pained you are at the realisation that APC will win big in the elections next year. Wether you wailers like it or not, it's Buhari till 2019. Game over for your beloved PDP

Osinbajo did not lure Shekarau, he who has eyes let him see, that PDP suffer from lack internal democracy, that is why most of their major stake holders are fleeing from the party. A typical most recent case is the automatic ticket given to Melaye alone with other political aspirants left out; a full display of what we "partiality".
