so which do you prefer? that the stolen money be stashed away in foreign banks or buried underground? you're fighting corruption yet you are not recovering anything. you guys are always in a hurry to abuse without any idea.

please read again.... that the looters be giving amnesty even to return 70% or be allowed to re invest the money in the country
Do you know what the 30% may amount to? Do you know how this sounds like a free meal ticket for corrupt and aspiring corrupt public officers? Which of these corrupt persons will declare or agree to return 70%, when they can still hide 70% of what is looted, and release 70% of the remaining 30%, and go off freely? There is no rationale or justification for the idiotic Amnesty. The fight may not be yielding the desire result, but it is not a justification for such outlandish theory

Instead of that how about you profer solution to curtail stealing by public office holders to almost 5% since it seems this is all a whole sitting governor of the fed. Requblic can come up with as a solution to tackling an agelong problem ? By the way , mr governor , i'm guessing there is a country somewhere on the globe that you'll face treason charges for such 'suggestion' , but this is nigeria .

I personally agree with the amnesty thing but with a twist.

Extra clauses:
They mention the loopholes they got the funds stolen and those involved.
They will no longer get influence in Nigeria's political space.
Allowing them to keep part is like rewarding them for crime. The whole 100% should be refunded. They only avoid jail time.

A six (6) months period to do this. Any one that fails to would face the full brunt. The part of naming accomplices would have helped in widening the list and evidence of how the funds win. That way the nation wins.

On a side note, the slowness of our anti corruption agencies is really vexing. They need to up their game and not let political affiliations decide on who or who not to go after. Well now, they just need to pass it to the legislature and follow the six months blueprint that will bring the country back to overflowing wealth. Gbam!

Amnesty to looters means pardoning looters, to me that is a wrong approach to crime fighting.
