The ALPTI study, work and create program gives students an opportunity to learn the art of film making and animation, while working towards a real project. The program serves as an exchange program to allow students see the world and work with fellow students in other countries. After the studying period is complete students work on final production stages and are paid a stipend.

The program contributes to the following priorities:
• Increasing the number of African and Caribbean animators and film makers.
• Providing a new outlook to the stories, folktales and history of the African and Caribbean people.
• Providing employment opportunities for Africans and Caribbeans in the world of interactive media.
