There is absolutely nothing wrong with the raid except that Edwin Clarke is an elder statesman. Such situations don't need search warrant.

Why blame the IGP? ...He acted on "National Interest" which is above the rule of law.

The Police are just using this man to save face. At the end opf the day the said informant would go and the case die a natural death. Typical of Bola Ige's murder case.

On a second thought, this man was driven by the whistle blowing policy to gain some %tage of the recovery. Now that it was guns NOT MONEY that was involved, what would have been his compensation seeing that the policy advocates a reward from the finds?

The Police only realize their mistake and will use ready hands to save face

angry angry

So an unsubstantiated street rumor/gossip is enough to use the might of the Police to hound an over 80 years old man abi? But even in the face of the glaring evidence of Fulani herdsmen atrocities, this same IGP (Iditotic Gworo Pig) refused a direct order to relocate to Benue State, is that not so?

If this country does not vote out the Association of Professional Clowns (APC) you will hear more disturbing things than this in the years to come. As for me, I'm working hard to ensure I'm no longer a citizen of this country when the evil begins to manifest.

Make sure you don't pass through Libya ooh, that axis is very treacherous now!

The money they suppose to use to engage intelligent people had been looted, now resulted in using tout as informant. Meanwhile who is this man meeting in uncompleted building.

very funny.

''Taxi man told me that the truck contains ammunition''.... without seeing it? and you alerted the police... and the police too quickly responded like mumu without a warrant?

Anything is possible in Nigeria anyway!

And they don't do so in western world right?
You people can never see anything good cos you are all full of hatred and evil

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if loads of arms and ammunition were found. With the story of Pastor Oristejafor’s jet load of money for arms smuggling still fresh in our minds, and the recent catchments of Lorry loads of illegal weapons and military uniforms ( traced to particular regions of the country) , the police did the right thing. There is no smoke without fire.

Looks like you are still waiting for the result of the raid..
Re: Edwin Clark: Taxi Driver Told Informant About Arms That Led To Raid On His Home by Mydazz(m): 2:27pm On Sep 05, 2018
This is a charade, only that the actors don't even know their scripts well enough,......
Even if the info was wrong, it is for the police to investigate, and why did they bring a citizen who was duly performing his duties to come and explain himself to the world?
Will that shift the blame to him in anyway? Pure acts of unprofessionallism

So our police has stoop so low to act on hearsay?

If Clark was an APC Chieftain would they have raided his home?

This people think we are fools. This one didn't work, bring another one.

Police usually act on pit off. Some are legit, others may not be. Its nothing usually

What is wrong in the scenario is that a whole IGP called for a raid without verifying the veracity of a claim , if everyone should act that way , then we all would be dead..

Police act on hearsay in developed climes, not just to act but investigate based on facts and evidence before acting,
Meanwhile the informant did the right thing but the stupid set of Police couldn't handle it.

When you give information to the police station, a lot of people invariably get access to that info. What if there were actually ammunition in Clarke's home, but we're moved out at the last minute based on a tip off from a corrupt police officer?
What if the weapons were distributed and shipped off even before the police got the info.

And of course there's always the possibility that there were no weapons in the first place, though there's hardly any smoke without fire.

That guy sounds mentally deranged. It says everything about the mental and psychological state of our policemen that they chose to act on such information without carrying out any form or intelligence reconnaisance whatsoever

2019: Plateau APC adopts indirect primaries

SOURCE:https://www.infonewsnigeria.com/discussion/4150/2019-plateau-apc-adopts-indirect-primaries#latest

The Plateau chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has adopted the indirect method of primaries in choosing its candidates for elective positions in the 2019 elections.

The party unanimously adopted the position at an expanded stakeholders meeting on Wednesday in Jos.

Mr Johnclerk Dabwan, former Speaker of the Plateau House of Assembly, moved the motion for the adoption of the indirect primaries and was seconded by Mr Azi Pate, the party chairman in Jos East Local Government.

The National Executive Council (NEC) of the party had given the state chapters the privilege of deciding how to arrive at its candidates.

Among the options are direct and indirect primaries, as well as consensual agreement.

Dabwan, while arguing for indirect primaries, cited security challenge in the state as his major reason.

“Having gone through the provisions of our party’s constitution and the resolution of its National Executive Council where it suggested direct, indirect or consensus method in conducting our primaries, I want to move that Plateau should adopt indirect primaries.

“The security challenges currently bedeviling us will make direct primaries very difficult and cumbersome,” he said.

Stakeholders at the meeting, through a voice vote, adopted the motion after Mr Latep Dabang, the state party chairman, put the question to vote.

Among senior party members at the meeting were Prof. Sonni Tyoden, Deputy governor, his immediate predecessor, Ignatius Longjan, as well as former and serving lawmakers in the state.

The taxi driver told you a sealed white hilux van entering a compound is carrying weapons and that is all what took the police to raid a VIP's house without warrant or intelligence?

If only the police ever answered or listened with such prompt to the numerous calls from attacked villages, what a glorious place Benue, Taraba, Jos, Adamawa, Bornu, Zamfara would be.

Very childish way of covering up. They think we 're useless n small minded as they are to believe this crap. The guy will be compensated for telling this super story.

Shame on you, why don't you ask yourself this;

Why was this IG not this fast when they were killing people in places like plateau and benue states. The killings of over 200 people happened for over 5 hours and this slowpoke of IG could not do anything.

But when an elder statesman said he should resign, his
house was quickly invaded, shame on you again.
