MICAT is entrance examination offering applications for postgraduate and other PGDM courses. MICA conducts the examination every year. The examination is conducted twice in a year. Just the other exams like CAT, XAT, and IIFT, the examination will be divided into different sections. There is no syllabus prescribed by the conducting authority. We have tried to maintain some data on the basis of previous year’s examination. Apart from verbal ability, data interpretation etc. There are two sections which are discussed below one by one.
Psychometric test
This section will test the candidate’s life experience, career goals etc. There are no books suggested for this section as the questions will be asked on the experiences and more on career goals. For this particular section, the candidates are advised to be more confident, calm and feel free to answer the questions.
Essay Writing
Ever since the childhood, we’ve been writing essays. This section will have one essay writing, the frequently asked topics are mentioned below.

Quantitative ability
This section will consist of all the mathematical concepts that we have been learning since the school days. The candidates with math background have an advantage as they have already studied the topics at the time of graduation. This section includes LCM,HCF, linear and quadratic equations , series and sequences and any more.
Verbal ability
This section will be testing the individual’s command over the English language. The candidates are advised to read content from Hindu, the mint etc.
General awareness
This section will include all the current affairs, and basic general knowledge. The questions will be related to geography, history etc.

The examination will be conducted in online mode i.e. it will be a computer-based test. The candidates will be given 165 minutes to complete the examination. One mark will be awarded to for every correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect response.
MICAT is one of the prestigious exams of the country. The candidates must start its preparation soon. MICA will declare MICAT 1 2019 on 18th December 2018 and MICAT 2019 result will be there on the official website to download from 19th February 2019. After the declaration of result, the candidates have to appear for the further rounds of the selection procedure which includes GD and PI. The final list of the shortlisted candidates will be out on 25th March 2019.
