Officials of the Nigeria Customs service recently busted another strategy devised by suspected smugglers after discovering a contraband item in car engines and other compartments.

The Customs officials intercepted cars loaded with smuggled rice on September 5, 2018 along Ilaro axis of Ogun State, where the contraband as carefully and neatly concealed in various parts of the vehicles but was still discovered by the Customs operatives.

According to the Ogun State Customs Public Relations Officer (PRO), ASC Abdullahi Maiwada, "An ingenious method of concealment has been unveiled by officers and men of the Ogun Command along Ilaro Axis of Ogun state.

These smugglers are obviously clever and smart by half.

They should have concealed tomatoes, pepper, Maggi, salt and vegetable oil alongside the rice in the car's engine bay, so that by what time they have arrived their destination after successfully eluding the customs, Rice and correct steamed stew would have been ready for celebrations.
