bringing someone up in a way of God doesn't mean the mental aspect of his life would not be at work. Its not even a guarantee that boy/girl would always follow the path sef.
I never guaranteed that the child will follow the path, that's why I said "if"....
Yes his mental aspect will be at work but the mental aspect of ones life can definitely be affected by ones belief, so if the child follows the path of the Lord... His mental disposition will definitely be affected (ephesians 4:24) and hence forgiveness is possible since it's a requirement as Christians for our own prayers too to be answered. (Mathew 6:14)

Abortion...what if the baby is born with mental problem as well?this should also be considered.
Obeying God's commandment and facing the problems that comes thereafter knowing that you can be sure of God's help is better than disobeying him altogether... (thou shall not kill or murder).
Fine, she could give birth to a child with a mental issue but who says God can't help her and change the situation just as a blessing for her obedience... But what if she disobeys due to her imperfect thinking of what people will say and the stigma she will face and during the abortion, she looses her life... What happens to her thereafter for disobeying God?

Does the Bible even know what germs and bacteria are?

The Bible isn't that intelligent.
Deuteronomy 23:12-13 helps us to see that God is interested in helping us to be clean and hygienic, thus curb the spread of diseases and germs through excretion.
Also when you read numbers 19, you'll see series of emphasis by God on the need to wash with water, hands and garments of those who touched unclean things...
