Hunger in the world rose in 2017, for the third year in a row. This is clear from the joint report issued by FAO, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization and four other UN agencies in charge of these issues.
Jose Graziano da Silva, Director-General of FAO, looks down from the rostrum: " Unfortunately the big news is not good news ... For the third year, I must tell you that the number of people who are hungry in the world has grown."
