A Nigerian clergyman, Godfrey Emeghalu Godfrey, took to his Facebook page to advise women not to leave their marriages because they were beaten by their husbands.

According to him, the physical assault is only a form of chastisement for their wrongdoing. He says if a woman doesn't want to be chastised, she has the option of not getting married.

Godfrey who is synonymous for making controversial posts, state that God is against women leading a nation and also leading men.

How can a man of God not know that domestic violence is evil?why should a man even strike a woman?any woman at all?how can you justify it biblically that is it wrong for a woman to save her life by walking away from an abusive husband?

Sadly, this is where religion and fake pastors have taken us to now. A woman that decides to stay in an abusive marriage, just because she wants to have the honour of being called a " Mrs" by all means, will one day realise her life is not worth. That is,if she makes it out alive.

Why will you beat your wife in the first place? for a man to even beat his wife....u are enemies already! A responsible man shouldn't do that. This man of God is not responsible.

Mad pastors on rampage. They're not only encouraging domestic violence, they're fuelling it. Little wonder they always advise women facing DV to keep praying till she dies there. Majority of them are wife-beaters, that's why they justify domestic violence easily.
