hello fellas in the house i want to ask a simple question

i have knowledge of web designs -htm4, 5 css, and xhtml, swishmax (flash)
i can handcode and use other wysiwg softwares but i always depend on template i get from the internet and just modify them to create my own.

i dont know if its good or not. cos it bothers me so much. Sometimes i layout my own but i dont always fancy it to be great

In my honest opinion, don't work with templates, they restrict your skills. I think it will be better to do your layouts in Photoshop or Fireworks before you convert to CSS/HTML.

Best.

wise advice from HC
once u depend on templates, your not to be regarded as a web developer and thats very evident in the way ur beating urself already.

try working ur layouts on fireworks or photoshop as u've been adviced. changing to html wuld just be a piece of cake 4u

using a template is not really a bad idea, all u need is to posses a
very good css skill and be very creative using other third party tools
such as fireworks, photoshop and AI apps.
i myself use templates but am very good at handcoding my css from scratch to the top
and it comes out great.
when i need to save time i go for templates not for the GUIs but for the css behind it.
