Blues started this season amazingly as they won all four games and leading the Premier League table with Liverpool and Watford. Chelsea were keen to sign Juventus playmaker Miralem Pjanic during this summer but finally, Bosnia international rejected Blues offer and stayed in Italy. Maurizio Sarri wanted to improve the front-line and his favourite target was Miralem but he signed a new contract with the club and Italian manager added Matteo Kovacic instead of Pjanic.
