Cristiano Ronaldo's Sister has hit out at football officials after a Red Card on his Champions League Debut for Juventus.

The 33-year-old was sent off during Wednesday's Group H opener against Valencia following a clash with Jeison Murillo.

Ronaldo now faces an expected two match ban for violent conduct but it course rise to three matches ban after UEFA decide in the coming days.

Ronaldo was in tears after being sent off and sister Katie Aveiro made her feelings perfectly clear on social media.

She wrote: 'The shame of football. Justice will be served.

'They want to destroy my brother, but God never sleeps.

'There will be a high price for these tears.They want to bring you down, but they won't succeed.'

Also former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand insisted Ronaldo should try to clear his name.

'Surely got to appeal this... @Cristiano??', Ferdinand tweeted, alongside a clip of the incident.
