if I ask you now why you said its a lie u won't say any meaningful thing because you have not researched on it..you can simply google 2014 national conference and check it out on restructuring..

infact Ebonyi and bayelsa went for state autonomy why some other southern states went for regional government and northern states refused any form of restructuring
I did follow d conference u know

If Ebonyi actually went for state autonomy, then thats deservice and sabotage to the collective interest of ndigbo

how do you mean??
look at it this way.. Ebonyi was formed by two political blocks..Afikpo block from old Abia state and Abakaliki block from old Enugu state...during the time of those old states and regions the present day Ebonyi didn't experience any little development atall to the extent that when the state was now created those older states now called them names and that even labelled it 'dust of the nation' because they had no roads..Now luckily enough Ebonyi has come on board with some lucky leaders who have built good roads for them even in the LGAs which now competes with those in Enugu and far better than Abia and IMO roads....now they people said what's the essence of going back to region since they where just used to make up numbers then that instead let everyone be in their different States and have their autonomy..

my dear its all about interest.. same interest everyone is fighting..No one is working against anyone..all man to his tent..you would believe it that development will concentrate in the regional capital and other areas would be ignored same reason Enugu city seem more ahead of other cities in east and SE unlike north and SW is not a place everyone see themselves as one as people are always making reference to where one comes from instead of the collective igboness..so that's it

Good question... What is stopping those who used to pride themselves with groundnut pyramids from doing so today?.. That's where Regionalism comes to play..
It forces everyone to look inward or perish
we have 36 regions. Nobody is forcing anything
Fiscal federalism is different from regionalism

Regional Government?

My bro,we have passed that argument.....
Ibadan,Kaduna and Enugu used to be it then....with Lagos as Fed. Capital..

Restructuring now speaks of devolution of powers...where we begin to directly hold our leaders accountable from LG to FG..

So.....Regionalism...nah
