Arsenal beat Vorskla Poltava 4-2 in their opening Europa League Group E match at the Emirates.


Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opened the scoring just after the half-hour mark, before Danny Welbeck doubled the home side's advantage after half-time.


A second from Aubameyang followed by Mesut Ozil's second goal in as many games put the result beyond doubt, although the visitors halved the deficit through Vladimir Chesnakov and a stoppage time goal from Vyacheslav Sharpar.


Celtic 1 - 0 Rosenborg


Celtic left it late to beat Rosenborg, Leigh Griffiths the hero for the home side in a 1-0 win at Parkhead.


The strike nodded home on 87 minutes to give Celtic just reward for their dominance over the Norwegian side.


PAOK Thessaloniki FC 0 - 1 Chelsea


A solitary goal from Willian gave Chelsea a 1-0 win over PAOK Salonika.


The Brazilian winger tucked in a pass from Ross Barkley after seven minutes to get the Blues' European campaign up and running in Greece.


Villarreal 2 - 2 Rangers


Steven Gerrard's Rangers twice came from behind to draw 2-2 away at Villarreal.


Carlos Bacca and Gerard Moreno twice had the hosts ahead but the Scottish side refused to buckle with Scott Arfield equalising first and then Kyle Lafferty scoring his maiden European goal.
