when i'd pause and get lost in your eyes which sparkled like marble and glass,
while i subconciously tightned my already firm grip upon your hand.
to my childish eyes your dark skin made you nothing short of and angel,
and your bright smile made you even more divine,
be it obsession,with it you had me trapped leaving me unable to rebel,
and there for a moment i thought you'd be mine.

now in our youth between us there is a thick layer of ice,
which even the strongest of artic bears cannot bear to crush,
but your face still darts in and out of my head like stubborn mice,
even as your silent rejection silences my heartthrob to a total hush.
i an forced to see you everyday and be reminded that the concept of an "us" cannot be,
that my forbidden passions must be tossed aside,
and everyday when i see you bond with him than you ever did with me,
in my pain,to hide my flowing

tears i turn my head to the side.
i always thought you'd find your way to me,but all i found was heart break and misery,
and the pure truth is that i'm jealous of the way you're happy without me.
i've lost my love,my first true love to the cruel claws of fate,
i've lost my happiness and my true soul mate,
as my candle burns out,i recall my past year by year,
and i realise how awfully desperate my words were.
i'm shedding tears at the nostalgia i feel at memories that never were,
when you've never been physically too far,when you've always been right here,
my candle has been burnt to a faint ember leaving me in stygian darkness,
and the fact that you still do not know my feelings towards you drags me back into my abyss of sadness.
