Dear nairalander, what advise would you give to someone who earns 350k after tax but wants to quits his job because he's being given a role which is lower than his present state wit thesame salary but this new role is more tasking than his present one and thus he feels like he's been demoted.

It's more tasking than your current role, meaning the company finds you Worthy of accomplishment in the new role and they trust you can deliver.
The Salary is still same, the only question I have is, will you be reporting to someone you consider your junior or your colleagues, or still your old superiors?
