You are wrong and I stand to be corrected. The provision of the law is that a winner shall emerge by simple majority of total votes cast, having won 25% of votes cast in two-third of the LGAs in the state, which in this case is 20 out of the 30 LGAs in Osun state. Any winner from APC or PDP has satisfied this provision already. The talk about re-run based on the number of invalid votes is neither here nor there...

For me the percentage of rejected ballots also played a significant role in this election. we still have a very long way to go as per voters education ahead of 2019. To me politician should focus more on voters education to enhance their chances rather than waisting money on the electorates that still end up cast their vote wrongly

That's not what the constitution said. According to the constitution, for a governorship candidate to emerge the winner, he must:

1. Obtain the majority of votes cast, and;

2. Obtain at least 1/4 of votes cast in 2/3 of LGAs in the state.

I think PDP has won this Osun election with a difference of about 1000 votes.
I did the calculations myself using Premium Times LGA results and got a difference of 1298 with a little margin of error.

So I think that result on twitter that has a difference of 910 should be correct.

What a way to lose an election with just 910 votes only!!!
