Wasiu Adeagbo, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been arrested by the Police for allegedly buying votes. He was arrested at Ward 8, Unit 9, Fiwasaye Area of Osogbo, the Osun State capital. The sum of N116,000 was found on him. The arrest was revealed via a tweet by the Police, which read: “Arrest of one Mr Adeagbo Wasiu, a suspected PDP chieftain at Ward 8 Unit 9 Fiwasaye Area of Osogbo. He was apprehended in the act f vote buying and the sum of One Hundred and Sixteen Thousand (116,000) was recovered from him, Investigation is ongoing." https://www.akelicious.net/2018/09/breaking-pdp-chieftain-arrested-with.html

How many votes can N116k naira buy? Or is this money to do faji after a hard day's job as an electoral official? If indeed N116k is meant to buy votes that will translate to election victory, then those people are damn cheap men. |
