Following the cancellation of the result of the September 22 gubernatorial election in Osun State over claims of irregularities and misconduct, in which the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP led by 353, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced Thursday, September 27 as the new date for supplementary election. According to INEC, the rerun will be conducted in some of the units in which votes were cancelled for alleged election irregularities.
