The Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, has blamed the inability of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC to emerge victorious in the governorship election which held in the state on September 22 on the number of votes cancelled in various polling units by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Gov.Aregbesola who spoke through his Media Adviser, Mr. Sola Fasure, on Sunday, said: “If there was no cancellation in those areas, we would have won outrightly without the need for the rerun.”

He expressed optimism in the ability of the APC to win this Thursday’s rerun election. “We expect to win at the first ballot. “We believe in the rule of law and due process and democrats, we will abide by INEC’s decision, it is okay by us, Fasure said.

Suanu’s Blog recalls that the Returning Officer for the election, Professor Joseph Afuape, declared the poll inconclusive after the difference between PDP’s 254,698 and APC’s 254,345 could not determine a clear winner.

The expected votes of 3,498 will determine a winner for the election. It may interest you to note that the PDP already has 353 votes to its advantage against 0 of the APC.

its a pity that this man thinks that the people of osun are fools. how on earth did he expect them to vote for his candidate when he owed his workers 40+ months salaries, fayose's fate is gonna befall u. aregbesola is more stupid than i thought, if not for rigging, i dont think APC would have gotten up to 50000 votes
